Precious Promise #15: Isaiah 43: 16, 18-19

Be encouraged! God will make a way when it seems there is no way. Are you watching for how He is going to choose to move? Don't spend your time looking back. You might miss it!

Be alert and present in the now! He's about to do something new!!

 Isaiah 43: 16, 18-19
(NIV) "This is what the LORD says— he who made a way through the sea, a path through the mighty waters. 'Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the desert and streams in the wasteland.'"

(MSG)"This is what God says, the God who builds a road right through the ocean, who carves a path through pounding waves. 'Forget about what's happened; don't keep going over old history. Be alert, be present. I'm about to do something brand-new. It's bursting out! Don't you see it? There it is! I'm making a road through the desert, rivers in the badlands.'"

What promise have you been reminded of?

  1. God's word is always timely.  Just got an email from a friend whose daughter is facing a closed door... a detour on the way.  But the family know He is still guiding, still working, still directing.

Yes!  A promise regarding His promises... always timely.  Thank you for that reminder!

Praying, even now, for your friend's family and the closed door.  Asking and trusting that God will honor their faith in His perfect plan and leading beyond their wildest imaginations!  A new thing...

  3. Hi Donnetta! It's been over a year since I've visited. Even without specifics in mind right now, just witnessing even the notion of precious promise on my dashboard today helps me agree with the timely encouragement of The Word. May God continue to bless and guide us.

  7. I like what you said about watching for God to move.  How many times do I pray and then forget to watch for Him?

I can totally relate.  And I wonder how often I have missed seeing Him because I wasn't watching?  A lesson I am still learning... daily!
