I can not begin to express my gratitude to those of you who are praying for our friends. I ask and plead that you please continue in prayer!
Things have gone from bad to worse. The next 24-48 hours are critical. Their 13 year old son has come to stay with us as of last night. We have just returned from the hospital so their family could have some time together.
There is nothing like staring true reality in the face. It is almost numbing. I have been trying to put what I am feeling into words and can't even find a place to start. Sometimes life and reality stings... and bad! This is one of those times.
I will stop now trying to express where I am with all of this. Just know your prayers mean more than you know!!!
Although our sweet girl turned 12 today, I'm afraid her day has been somewhat lost in all the extra hub bub of what has been taking place.
We recognize today is her day. We will officially celebrate! It will just need to be another day.
However, to have it happen in the middle of all of this has provided for a reminder and lesson that life is not all about us. It is about being available, loving and caring to others. I don't know of a better lesson to learn and have re-enforced when one is turning 12... or any day for that matter.
You have been a wonderful friend. I'm sure God put you on this particular assignment. Thank you for being His ambassador.:)
