We just received news that one of our dear friends and church family members is in critical condition in ICU with complications resulting from an injury.
He is our age. He has a wife and two teenage children. In fact, his son is one of my son's good friends. This is a family that we aren't just acquaintance's with. This is a family that we do life together with.
Somehow my earlier post of this morning mentioning my own exhaustion and sore throat seems so utterly embarrassing and pathetic.
Now, if you'll please excuse me, I'm preparing to head to the hospital and be of support in whatever way I can.
If you think of it, prayers would be so greatly appreciated!
I'm so sorry to hear about your friend. Know that I'm praying!
ReplyDeletePraying.
ReplyDeleteOh, so sorry to hear. That moment when life changes so drastically and the rug has been pulled out from under your feet... I know it all too well just different circumstances. Will pray for supernatural strength and peace for them and for you as you seek the words and presence to support them.
ReplyDeleteI am sorry, I pray they are ok.
ReplyDeleteAlready been on my knees for your friend. Praying for healing for His good glory and that you will be a sweet breath of fresh air to this family.
ReplyDeleteMoments like these really do put life into perspective. I'll be praying for him - for all of you.
ReplyDeletePraying for your friend's family, but also for yours.
ReplyDeletePrayers said.
ReplyDeleteMy dear friend, I just read both posts at the same time. While I cannot fix everything, I know the One who can and we talked. He loves you, He loves your family, and He loves your friends. I will keep praying.
ReplyDeleteIf you are leading VBS you are a hero around here. Miss Pear is still singing the songs she learned and I keep telling her that worship is the one gift she can always give God!
If we were closer I would be by with cookies and the yummiest hot chocolate.
So sorry your friend and his family are facing this. Praying for his recovery! May God intervene in a huge way and restore him fully!
