Precious Promise #13: Lamentations 3:21-23

There is hope generated in remembering God's precious promises. Because of His love and compassions that never fail, we do not need to be consumed. He is faithful and gives fresh and anew every morning.

Take heart....It is a new morning!!

Lamentations 3:21-23

(NIV) "Yet this I call to mind and therefore I have hope. Because of the Lord's great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness."

(Message) "There's one other thing I remember, and remembering, I keep a grip on hope: God's loyal love couldn't have run out, his merciful love couldn't have dried up. They're created new every morning. How great your faithfulness!"

What promise have you been reminded of?

I love the way the Message says "Keep a grip on hope"......I surely have to do that a lot!  It's a beautiful morning here in Florida!  So it's easy to see those new mercies!

  2. One of my all time favorite scriptures that I have written into the front cover of every bible I own.  I would be lost without this promise.  I'm so thankful His mercies are new every morning for me 'cause I tell ya, somedays it feels like I use up my portion for sure.

Keeping a grip on hope... sometimes I can actually picture in my mind my "white knuckled grip" as I cling to that hope as if for my very life.   So thankful you were able to enjoy a beautiful morning to welcome in His new mercies!

A promise worth clinging to for sure!  I know what you mean, I think some days I've used up my portion just minutes into the day, and yet He promises enough for each day... and fresh and new at that!

P.S. SO glad to see you being able to "chat" here with me!!! :-)
